Yeah, I get that on this side of the water, too. (Parents are Catholic.) And it's like there's some kind of reciprocal: the flakier Protestant-Sect-X is, the more likely its adherents are to think that Catholics (and Orthodox, likely) are not Christian. Because no one before Martin Luther could possibly be a Christian, of course. *rubs forehead* At least when they're in my classes I can whap them with the history-bat.
