At the moment it's pretty obvious that I came here through strikethrough, though I feel that it's worthwhile to add that's not entirely why I am here.
I like LiveJournal a lot, and I'm still planning on being active there. I don't think that the fandom there should move from there. But it would be nice if they (users) acknowledged that fandom exists elsewhere.
And well. I think LiveJournals already acknowledged that they know fandoms a significant part of LJ. It would be nice if they remember that, but oh I'm sure something is going to go wrong in the next couple of months, and well that's to be expected. Hopefully not as many people will get as angry, eh?
But I've always liked being able to go between different places - it's part of why I like things like LiveJournal and Ezboard - one identity - many different communities. I have like... hundreds of forum registrations here and there, but they're not my preference. Too easy to get one password misplaced... Or to just forget about the place and never receive a reminder. Such a pain in the ass to relogin everywhere when the cookies get reset.
Because I really like some of the features on LiveJournal, I've always kept an eye out when people mention clones... This was one of the names that came up with StrikeThrough, I'd never seen it before so was very interested. I don't join up with any LiveJournal clone... The only other ones I've joined are JournalFen (which I love and use) and GreatestJournal (in which I've had it over a year and really don't care). I liked the look of InsaneJournal so decided to join.
( my thoughts on fandom )Ultimately... I just want to be able to go and hangout else where to remind myself that the Internet is a big big place and keep some perspective. I like the environment here so I think I'll stay. :D
